A social connection links one of your social accounts to Envox, so messages sent to it arrive in the Inbox and an agent can answer them.
You never type a password into Envox. You log in on the platform itself, then choose which page or account we may answer for.
Before you start
- You need an agent on a message channel — see Agents.
- You must already be an admin of the Facebook page or Instagram account you want to connect. Envox can only offer what your own account can access.
Steps
- 1
Start the connection
Click Connect and choose the platform — Connect Instagram, Connect Messenger or Connect LinkedIn. You are taken to that platform to log in.

Choose which accounts to link
After logging in, a dialog lists the accounts and pages your login can reach. Select the ones Envox may answer for — you can pick several at once.
Nothing you do not select is touched. Connecting one page leaves your other pages exactly as they were.
- 3
Assign the agent that replies
Click a connected account and set the agent under Assigned Agent. Until you do, messages still arrive — with nobody answering them.
This is the step people miss. A connected account with no agent looks completely healthy in the list while quietly leaving every message unanswered.

Check the connection's health
The detail panel shows Status, Webhook Subscribed, the Account ID and Token Expires At. Webhook subscribed is the one to check — without it, no messages reach us.
A banner reading This connection has expired means the platform revoked our access, usually because the token aged out or a permission changed. Use Disconnect and connect again — editing cannot restore it.
Good to know
- Expired, Disconnected and Failed are different: expired is a token problem you fix by reconnecting, failed usually means the platform rejected a specific action.
- One agent can answer several connected accounts.
- Messages that arrive while an account has no agent are not lost — they are in the Inbox, waiting for a human.
